We at Cape Ann Fresh Catch are thrilled to introduce to our shareholders Heather Atwood. Her love of seafood is close to our hearts. She is graciously allowing us to sell her new cookbook and all of the profits will be going to our Mobile Homeless Meal Program we are starting this winter.
This is a great gift; she will personalize her book for you and you will help feed the homeless! What a winning combination!
Heather is author of the blog "Food for Thought” and the weekly column by the same name syndicated in a number of Massachusetts newspapers. She lives with her family in the very special neighborhood of Folly Cove, in Rockport, MA.
For the online cooking site Cook123, Ms. Atwood hosts cooking videos featuring regional Massachusetts chefs and cooks. This combined work has created a web of connections in the New England food community, allowing Atwood a prized familiarity with Finns in W. Barnstable who still make fruit soup, the Gloucester Sicilians who bake their own zeppole, and day boat fishermen who sell pearly scallops and glistening hake.
Her new cookbook, “In Cod We Trust, from Sea to Shore, the Celebrated Cuisine of Coastal Massachusetts,” explores the people who have made this ragged coastline home, and documents their treasured recipes.
“The coast of Massachusetts is as varied as the coast of France.” - In Cod We Trust. From New Bedford's spicy Portuguese Fish Stew to Newburyport Pear Pudding, it's true.
Your book will be delivered the week after you order it to the location that you select. If you wish it shipped please let us know where you wish it to be sent.
